Very happy with colin in sales but car not few bit not happy with

I live in Northumberland and had seen a MINI at this dealership online. A sales rep sent me through the video of the car noting it was in “immaculate condition” apart from one wheel. We negotiated that the wheel would be fixed and we’d travel down to collect the car before the month end.
When we got arrived at the agreed time, no one was there and only met someone due to peeking into an office.
I asked to look around the car and discovered all four wheels were curbed (although the one mentioned had been fixed), there were scratches on both bumpers and small, but deep scratches on the doors. I had to ask the sales rep to come look at it as she was just stood, silent, in a world of her own when we were pointing it out.
After negotiating, I was offered to be refunded the price of one alloy refurb and will have to pay the rest myself. The sales manager told me “they’ll get curbed anyway eventually” when trying to get my point across. Alternatively he offered so give me a wheel refurb plan so I could claim on it at a later date, failing to recognise in doing so would be fraud. Two weeks later I’m still waiting on this refund.
Knowing we had paid to hire a car down to the other side of the country and hotels, etc we decided to still go ahead with the car. We had mentioned numerous times how short on time we were but the sales rep moved at a glacial pace. I even had to prompt her to take the rest of my deposit before leaving. There was no chat, no hurry and no friendliness during handover. Myself and my partner change cars frequently and we’ve never experienced a handover to take so long, be so dull, not be offered to have things set up and to have so many issues to arise.
Upon driving away, we noticed foundation to be all over the back seat, glovebox and steering wheel.
We had been told the vehicle had recently undergone service but we discovered it actually had not and they had classed their initial vehicle inspection (at the time it was part ex’d) as a service.
Now, I’ve received my finance documents through and I’ve noticed they’ve financed a 5dr and not 3dr which can ultimately change the end value and monthly payments. Although reporting this on Saturday, we have been told to wait until Friday for an update. Outcome is still unknown so far.
Although efforts have been made to fix the incorrect information given to us, it has been mistake after mistake and a huge inconvenience.


Colin was amazing! Listened to our needs and was able to have the car ready for collection earlier than planned. He went over and above explaining controls to me before I drove off! Thank you
